You can invest in thousands of companies and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZX), New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), Nasdaq, and Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE).
All Sharesies accounts are cash accounts. We don’t offer margin accounts, or the ability to participate in loans or margin lending.
Australian or NZ companies or ETFs
Prices for Australian and NZ investments are delayed by at least 20 minutes.
You'll need to have the correct currency to invest in companies and funds across the different exchanges. If you don't have enough of the correct currency, you can exchange currency in advance, or you can exchange currency when you place a buy order. Read about foreign exchange fees.

Market and limit orders for Australian or NZ shares may be sent to market individually, or sent to market with similar orders placed by other investors—this is called ‘aggregation’.
When orders are aggregated, they retain their priority. If an aggregated order only partially fills, and your order was placed first, this means it’ll be filled first.
Read about order processing times.
