Every Sharesies investor needs to answer two or three questions about how and why they plan to invest—this is called ‘nature and purpose’.

It’s a legal requirement for financial institutions like Sharesies to ask these questions.

We collect this info to meet compliance standards, and fulfil our obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009.

The questions you’ll be asked

As a co-operative shareholder, you’ll be asked the following questions:

  1. How frequently are you looking to put money into Sharesies?

  2. What are your main reasons for using Sharesies?

You’ll need to answer these questions to be able to manage your farm business’s co-operative shares on Sharesies.
