To create a will:
log in to the Sharesies app
go to Portfolio > Get insurance or a will
tap Your will, and follow the prompts.
When you create your will in the app, you’ll be asked to complete the essential steps to create a will:
Tell us about yourself—your relationship status, occupation, and if you have kids
Name your beneficiaries—the people who will receive your assets after your death
Select an executor—the person responsible for carrying out your wishes
Choose a guardian for your children—the person who will oversee your children's welfare and make major decisions on their behalf.
You may want to think about who you'd like these key people to be, and discuss it with them first. You can also draft your will and come back to these decisions later before finalising.
Optional extras
You can also add:
a list of your assets so your executor can find them
a request that your Sharesies investments be transferred to your beneficiaries rather than sold
a guardian for your pets
your funeral wishes
a list of specific gifts and any other wishes as a free-text note.
