If you have an account with MyMahi and a DIA eID in your MyMahi wallet then you can join Sharesies and the Sharesies KiwiSaver Scheme directly from your MyMahi account.
How does this work?
Sharesies has partnered with MyMahi to make it easier for young people to get access to KiwiSaver, savings accounts, and financial education.
If you are over 16 and have a DIA eID in your MyMahi wallet, then you can join Sharesies using the DIA eID to verify your identity – so signing up is simple and quick, with no extra paperwork needed.

Turning 16 opens up more ways to build your wealth on Sharesies. By joining Sharesies you can kickstart your financial future with the Sharesies Investing Course, create a Sharesies KiwiSaver account, put money aside with Sharesies Save, and start to explore investing with an advised portfolio tailored to you.
What is the signup process?
You can find Sharesies in the partners page of the MyMahi platform, or you can join Sharesies directly at https://www.sharesies.nz/
Click ‘sign up’ to enter your contact details and verify your email
When asked to verify your ID you can choose ‘DIA eID via MyMah’
You will be navigated to your MyMahi account to log in, select your DIA eID, and take a photo to confirm your ID
Once your ID is verified there are a few more questions about how you plan to use Sharesies, then you are all done and ready to go
