Sharesies as a company
There are two separate companies involved when you make investments through the Sharesies platform—Sharesies Limited and Sharesies Nominee Limited.
Sharesies Limited grows and develops Sharesies products, employs staff, and keeps the platform running. The New Zealand based Sharesies team work for Sharesies Limited.
The money in your Wallet and Investments in your Account will be held on bare trust for your ultimate benefit by Sharesies Nominee Limited, a New Zealand-based entity, or another approved third-party at our discretion.
Drive Wealth LLC, a US-based company, may be used to hold US-listed investments.
Sharesies Australia Nominee Pty Limited, an Australian-based company, may be used to hold ASX-listed investments and AUD money.

We place your orders for New Zealand shares directly on the New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZX) and send orders for managed funds to the fund managers.
CMC Markets Stockbroking Ltd are our broker for Australian shares. They execute buy and sell orders on the Australian Securities exchange on behalf of Sharesies. DriveWealth are our clearing participant in the US, and act on behalf of Sharesies Limited and Sharesies Nominee Limited—the Sharesies entity that holds investments on bare trust for you.
We even do other hard stuff for you—like paying most tax for you, and sorting your dividends.
