You can have multiple base funds and build on them by picking your own self-select investments, or leave it as-is. At least 50% of your investment plan must be allocated to base funds if you are using self-select.

Each base fund invests solely in a single underlying managed fund with its own investment mix, risk rating, and suggested timeframe. The returns you might expect will depend on the funds you choose.
