Team leaders are user accounts with non-admin permissions that can be configured to manage everything related to selected teams.

How do I Create a User with Limited Permissions?

Follow the steps below to create a new user in sheepCRM with limited or bespoke permissions. These permissions are created on your behalf so if you require a new permission set or have an issue, please get in touch with support@sheepcrm.com

How to Create a User Account in sheepCRM

Please refer to this article to add a user account - please pay specific attention to the permission settings as you only want user groups selected for the groups a user should have access to.

How do I Create a Contact Record for a Team Leader in sheepCRM?

Team Leaders need a contact record in your sheepCRM system which has the same name and email address used on their user account.

Please note that email addresses are case-sensitive on user accounts.

We recommend keeping all email addresses lowercase to prevent errors.

How do I Add the Contact Record to the Team(s) Leader?

While in the contact record for the user, go to the team's tab or section and add the contact to any teams that they should have access to and set the role as Team Leader.

This is not a requirement for set up but it makes the records clear for other people viewing them who do not have access to settings or those teams.

How do I Add the User as a Team Leader for the Team(s)?

Go to https://settings.sheepcrm.com/teams/group and locate the team(s) that the user should have leader permissions for. Open up the team and scroll down to Team Leaders. Enter the email (recommended) or name of the user in the field and click on the matching result to add them as a leader for the team. Repeat for any additional teams needed.

⚠️ The following steps will not work unless the Team Leader has activated their user account.

The Team Leader is now set up to manage their teams.

They should be instructed to go to core.sheepcrm.com and bookmark that as their homepage. Then the following article can be used for training and reference.
