Edit Discount Description

A good discount description tells shoppers exactly what the deal is, who it’s for without causing any confusion.

Discounts are only as effective as shoppers’ ability to understand them.

The discount description, the short line that appears in-cart or at checkout is where that understanding starts. It tells shoppers what the discount is, where it applies, and why it’s showing up. That quick explanation often makes the difference between a smooth purchase and lost sales.

When the description is clear, it builds trust and reduces confusion. When it’s vague or overly technical, it creates friction. Shoppers may simply abandon the process.

Done well, it gives shoppers clarity and gives your business cleaner conversions—and often, fewer support escalations along the way.
