Shopflo Analytics comes with a built-in alerting system that notifies you when a key metric crosses a threshold you define. Instead of opening your dashboard to find out what happened, alerts bring the insight to you - so you can act before a dip becomes a problem.
Setting Up a Premade Alert
Shopflo includes a set of premade alerts for the most critical metrics - like conversion rate, prepaid share, and sales orders. These are the fastest way to get started.
Step 1: Open your alerting dashboard from the Analytics section.
Step 2: You will see the premade alerts available for essential metrics. Browse through them to find the metric you want to monitor. Click on the metric you want to monitor - for example, Conversion Rate.
Step 3: An alert setup modal will open. Add the alert title
Step 4: Set the condition for when you want to be alerted. For example, here we will go with conversion rate.
Step 5: Set the alert threshold - the condition that triggers the notification. For example, set it to "less than or equal to 45%" to be notified when conversion rate drops below that level.
Step 6: Choose the monitoring frequency - Hourly for time-sensitive metrics, Daily for trends you review once a day.
Step 7: Choose the emails on which you want to receive the notifications on.
Step 8: Click Create. A confirmation tooltip will appear once the alert is active.
Creating a Custom Alert
If you want to monitor a metric that isn't in the premade list, you can create a custom alert. The setup is the same - pick the metric, set a threshold, choose a frequency, and add your notification channel.
