1.3 Decide on tags

Written by Support

Goal

Create stable groupings for Field Locations that reflect how your teams and reporting are organized. Tags are typically used to break out distinct teams or business lines. The canonical examples are Maintenance and Construction as separate tags so each team's reports and filtered views show only their locations.

Who

Org Admin.

Steps

  1. From the Field home page, open the Manage menu and choose Tags.

  2. Create the tags that match your organizational structure (e.g. Maintenance, Construction).

  3. Back on the Field home page, apply tags to specific locations using row actions or bulk select.

  4. Filter the Field home page by tag to see just the locations in that group.

Notes

  • Tags are intended for longstanding groupings, not for one-off labels. Build the tag list around how you actually report and break out work.

  • Tags are independent of Offices. A location belongs to exactly one Office but can carry any number of tags. A location could be in the "North" Office and tagged both Maintenance and Construction.
