Geofencing

Geofencing Campaigns, target specific locations with precision.

Updated this week

Geofencing campaigns allow you to precisely target a specific area on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to reach people within a defined geographic zone.

This is ideal when you want to focus your ad spend on a particular location, such as a corporate HQ, a trade show, or any physical venue.

What Is Geofencing?

Geofencing means creating a virtual boundary around a geographic area to ensure your ads are shown only to users within that location. On Meta, this allows your campaigns to be highly focused and relevant.

Example Use Cases:

  • Targeting decision-makers at a specific corporate HQ (for example, Klarna HQ, Stockholm)

  • Promoting your brand at industry events or conferences

  • Running regional campaigns focused on key cities or business districts

How Does It Work?

  1. You submit a geofencing request in Sid's Marketplace

  2. We configure your campaign to ensure ads appear only to users within the specified location

  3. Your ads run with maximum precision, focusing your budget exactly where you need it

How to Submit a Geofencing Request

  1. Access the Geofencing Request Form in your Sid dashboard.

  2. Fill in the Campaign Details:

    • Campaign Name

    • Start Date

    • End Date (optional)

    • Budget Type

  3. In the Target Area & Context section:

    • Specify the locations you want to target (for example, "Klarna HQ, Stockholm" or "Tesla HQ, Palo Alto")

    • Add any additional notes if needed

  4. Click Submit Geofencing Request.

Why Use Geofencing?

Geofencing ensures your budget is spent where it matters most. It is a highly effective strategy when you want to:

  • Focus on specific accounts or industries

  • Maximize visibility at events, expos, or trade shows

  • Run localized campaigns with precise reach

It is particularly valuable for Account-Based Marketing (ABM) where you are targeting a well-defined list of companies or physical locations.
