If you’ve sent a deposit but nothing has appeared in your Sidekick wallet, there are a few reasons this might happen — and we’ll help you get to the bottom of it.
💸 Check your sending bank
First, confirm that the money has actually left your bank account.
Even if your app says “sent”, some banks place temporary holds or perform internal security checks that prevent the payment from being fully processed — especially for large transfers or first-time payments to a new recipient.
In these cases, we haven’t received the funds yet. You may see a pending transaction in your bank, but the money hasn't moved.
✅ Tip: If you see a payment reference or transaction ID, contact your bank to confirm that the funds have actually cleared.
🔁 Sent from a different account?
If you accidentally used an unlinked bank account (not your nominated one in the app), your payment may be held or automatically rejected.
We can only accept deposits from your linked account for security reasons.
🕒 Made a transfer outside working hours?
Payments sent on evenings or weekends may not show in your wallet until the next working day, particularly if additional checks are needed.
🛡 Currencycloud review or other checks
Occasionally, our regulated payment provider Currencycloud may pause a payment for further review. This is part of standard financial crime prevention protocols, and can delay receipt by up to one to two business days. You don’t need to do anything — we’ll notify you if action is required.
🧾 Still not visible after a full working day?
If nothing has appeared and more than one business day has passed, please get in touch via in-app support. To help us trace your funds, include:
The exact amount sent
The date and time
A screenshot or reference from your bank
We’ll investigate and keep you updated.
