We understand that you might sometimes prefer to review a document on paper. However, within Signhost it’s not possible to print a document during the signing process. This is due to a few important reasons:
Validity and legal certainty
Documents offered through Signhost are part of a secure digital signing process. This ensures that the signature is legally valid and can serve as legal evidence. If a document is printed and handled outside of this process, that certainty is lost.Efficiency
Signhost was specifically designed to avoid the cumbersome print-scan-mail process. By keeping everything digital, the process becomes faster, safer, and more efficient.
👉 Do you still prefer to review the document on paper before signing it digitally via Signhost? In that case, you can ask the sender of the request to provide you with the original document outside of Signhost.
After signing
Once all parties have signed the document, you will automatically receive a final and legally valid PDF. This file is the official version and should be stored digitally. Of course, you can print it for your own reference, but please note: when printed, the digital seals and certificates are lost. This means the paper copy will not have legal value.
Our advice
Carefully read the document digitally, sign it via Signhost, and always store the final, valid version digitally. This way, you are assured of a secure and legally valid signing process.
