Audit trail

Audit trail in transaction overview, activities per signatory

Updated over a week ago

The audit trail in the transaction overview shows detailed information about the transaction and signing activities per signatory. Per activity the date and time is logged until the transaction is fully completed / signed.

Where can you find the audit trail of a transaction?

In our portal, go to menu Transactions > Open transactions and choose the blue button on the right side of the transaction, see below - yellow shaded:

The transaction overview page will open and at the bottom of the page you will find the audit trail. See below:

As can be seen above, the sign request email was sent on February 11 at 13:19 to evidos.daan@gmail.com.

As soon as the signatory opens the link in the email, a new activity is logged, see image below:

So you know exactly when the signing link was (..first..) opened by the signatory.

At the moment the signatory has opened the document to be signed after clicking the link, the below activity Document opened is shown:

When the document is signed, Signed appears in the audit trail:

Does the transaction have several signatories? Then by default the signing request to the second signatory is sent after the first one has signed. This activity and all subsequent activities are also logged in the audit trail until the transaction is fully completed. See image below:

After all signatories have finished signing, we send the confirmation e-mail with (..a download link to..) the signed document(s) and the e-mail with the transaction receipt separately. These activities are also logged in the audit trail, see the image below of an audit trail with two signatories who have completed the transaction:

The e-mail addresses from the audit trail are automatically deleted after 3 months, read more about our storage period here.

We also include a copy of the audit trail at the bottom of the transaction receipt. Handy for evidence!
