Steps to Install an eSIM
After completing your purchase, follow these steps to install the eSIM:
Go to the My eSIMs section in the Simly app.
Press on “Install” on the eSIM you just purchased. You have three ways to install the eSIM:
Automatic: You can simply tap to install the eSIM on your device. 📲
QR Code: Use your device’s camera to scan the QR code provided by Simly. 📷
Manual: To install an eSIM manually, a few steps must be followed.
Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data), and press on “Add eSIM.”
Press on “Use QR Code,” then “Enter Details Manually.”
Paste the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code from the app. Leave the Confirmation Code empty, then press next. 📝
After installing using one of the three methods, press “Allow” then “Continue.”
Choose the line you wish to receive calls and SMS on. You can keep this set to your main SIM if you wish. Press “Continue” when you are done.
Select the line you want to use for iMessage and FaceTime. You may also choose your main SIM here.
After pressing “Continue,” choose your default line. If you have arrived at your destination, select your eSIM. If not, select your main SIM and change it when you land. Always keep “Allow Cellular Data Switching” off to avoid additional charges. Then press “Continue.”
Your eSIM has now been installed. Though there are two more steps that have to be done:
Press on your eSIM, which will usually be the last SIM in the list, right above “Add eSIM.” Then make sure data roaming is turned on.
Then press on "Cellular Data" at the top and make sure that your eSIM is selected. (This step should only be done upon your arrival to your destination)
With these steps, your eSIM should be successfully installed and ready for use! 🚀
