Your channel comes with a default setting for Broker Users. You are able to adopt this default setting, or update it as you like. The default setting will ensure that a broker will only have access to their own applications (or applications for the Brokerage that they belong to); and will ensure that they only have access to the relevant broker functionality within your channel.

When you set up a new User in your channel and give this User a User Type of Broker, this will automatically set the default Permission Groups that have been configured for the Broker User Type:

You will note that there is more than one default permission group set for the Broker User. This is because the system sets Permissions for:

  • Overall Access to your channel (Simpology Manager)

  • Access to consumer functionality (allows brokers to use Info Request with their applicants)

  • Access to Omni (if you are using Simpology Omni, you can give brokers a level of access to see assessment activities and/or Missing Information Requests)

Default Settings for Broker Role: Simpology Manager

The Broker Permission Group is set for your broker partners - ensure you have selected Broker in the Permission Group dropdown before configuring:

Application Management

Sets rules on ability to access/view/edit/manage Loanapp Applications, which is found in the Solutions Menu, Application Processing.

You are able to set whether your brokers can access only their own applications, or applications for their brokerage group.

Broker Management

Sets rules on ability to access/view/edit/manage broker profiles and sections. Broker/people is found in the Organisation Menu.

Brokers need to be able to manage their own profile only.

Consumer

Consumer must be enabled for any party using Info Requests:

Dashboard

Sets rules on ability to be able to view and/or participate in the Dashboard, which is found in the Home Menu section.

Document Verification

Sets rules on ability to be able to access and/or use Document Verification functionality, which is found in Solutions, Application Processing:

Menu Access

Sets rules on access to the different menus/functions. Brokers will have access to fewer menu items:

Organisation

Sets rules on ability to access/view/edit the different layers of the Organisation menu item (which manages staff, brokers, partners, etc). Brokers should only be able to manage their own profiles and information:

Permissions

Sets rules on ability to access the Permissions section in your company profile - and therefore manage permissions across your users. Brokers should have no ability to manage permissions:

Product

Sets rules on ability to access the Product & Serviceability sections - and rules on ability to view/edit the Products/Serviceability logic of your organisation; along with rules on being able to access/manage subscriptions to your logic. Brokers should have no access to this section:

Supporting Docs

Sets rules on ability to access and use the Supporting Documents functionality in the Applications Section. Supporting Docs is found in Solutions, Application Processing. Brokers should have access to manage and categorise supporting docs:

Default Settings for Broker Role: Loanapp

Sets rules on ability to access and use the Loanapp to lodge applications.

Default config allows brokers to work only on their own applications, but have visibility of applications across their brokerage.

Default Settings for Broker Role: Omni

Sets rules on ability to access Omni Assessment workflows. You will only set access if you are using Omni in any capacity for triage or assessment workflows.
