Omni is the Simpology Assessment solution.
Loanapp is the Simpology Application e-lodgement solution.
The Journey Setup section of your Channel allows you to configure:
How (and when) Loanapp application records are submitted into the Omni flows
What Omni processes are triggered when a Loanapp application first lands in Omni
If and When the Assessment Process is triggered
and other settings that affect how Loanapp and Omni work together
Where is the Journey Setup?
Go to Account/Setup/Journey Setup:
There are a number of settings on this page that you need to configure to make Omni work alongside Loanapp.
Select your Journey
⚠️ You will need to configure these settings per Journey. Settings are not global.....you have the flexibility to have different Omni settings for different Journeys.
How many journeys you have will depend on how you are using Simpology for Originations. You may only have one journey - the main Simpology Journey is Loan Application (Loanapp).
Select the Journey that you want to configure the Omni Settings. In this article we will work on the Omni Settings for Loan Application (the regular Loanapp journey).
Select Loan Application in Journey type dropdown:
To configure Omni, you will need to configure some of the Basic Settings, and then the Omni Settings section:
Basic Omni Settings
For Omni setup, the Settings that you need to consider/configure in Basic Settings are the following:
Enable straight through process
This setting should be ticked ON if you
Enable assessment process
This setting should be ticked ON if the Lender is using the Omni Assessment Process.
Note that if you tick this setting ON, the Assessment Process will be triggered immediately when the Omni record is initially created by the Loanapp submission.
⚠️ Note that there is an alternative method to trigger the Assessment Process based on a particular Status in the Assessment flow (ie not immediately but only when the assessment process has got to a certain point).
The Assessment Module will run all business rules against your application data, and allow you to set conditions, build an assessment summary, and approve the application:

Auto Submit to Lender when STP pass
Omni Settings
The Omni Settings section is where you configure what Assessment Processes are triggered when the Loanapp application record is created in Omni, under different circumstances (eg STP versus non-STP):
Action Processes when submitting application to Omni
This setting sets which Assessment Process is triggered as the first Process (or set of tasks) to be completed in the Assessment workflow when the Loanapp submission is created in Omni. The dropdown will present all your configured Action Processes to choose from:
This setting will mean that when an application is submitted from Loanapp into Omni, the first process in the assessment flow will be triggered in the Omni workflow:
Activity Status when application created
This setting will set the "Status" an application is in when you first create a new Loanapp application.
This Status will then be displayed on your Application grid, until the status changes (eg to Application submitted)
✅ Note that you are able to create and set ANY statuses that you want your applications to move through in your application and assessment workflows.
Non STP: Activity status when submit to Omni
Non STP is where you have a traditional assessment workflow set for your applications - where your assessor will first review the application before assessing and making a decision.
This will be the first status that your application changes to, when it has been submitted, and the Assessment workflow starts.
This status will be displayed in the application grid:
And also in your Omni workflow:
STP statuses
The next set of statuses related to the STP assessment flow - where you will have configured the journey to have automated a number of assessment steps, and the Omni flow will start further into the assessment workflow - eg at Conditional Approval.
This will be the Status that the Omni record changes to when the STP rules have been passed, and the application is then auto-decisioned in Omni. In this example, the Loanapp user will see that their application is immediately Conditionally Approved.
This will be the Status that the Omni record changes to when the STP rules have been passed, but the application is NOT auto-decisioned in Omni. In this example, the Loanapp user will see that their application is in Decisioning. While the STP rules have passed, the lender will have the opportunity to make the final decision rather than automating.
A version of STP is where the application is acceptable and passes initial decisioning rules, including Serviceability. Where the application passes these initial rules, and services, you are able to set a Status for this outcome.
A version of STP is where the application is acceptable and passes initial decisioning rules, but DOES NOT pass Serviceability. Where the application passes these initial rules, and does not service, you are able to set a Status for this outcome.
Where the application does not meet the STP acceptability rules, you can set the status |
✅ Remember that you are able to create and set ANY statuses that you want your applications to move through in your application and assessment workflows.
Use Lodgement service when sending S4 to solicitor
The final Omni setting to consider in the Journey Setup page is the setting to connect your Omni to a Solicitor service (for Doc Prep activities):
You will tick this setting only where your Lender has an API integration with their Document Prep/Settlement solicitor and Simpology has enabled this connection.
