The Policy & Decisioning Engine is a repository of any and all rules that are built to power the 'intelligence' of journeys, workflows and processes in Simpology Manager. An obvious application of rules is for decisioning logic that can be applied in assessment workflows - but the Policy & Decisioning Engine is actually much more pervasive and used in many Simpology Manager functions.
This article gives you an introductory overview of the engine, with click-throughs to more specific articles.

Note that if you do not have access you will need to have your Permissions updated by your admin.
What can I do in Policy & Decisioning Engine?
The Policy & Decisioning Engine allows you to build Collections of Rules that can then be published to make your Simpology Manager journeys, workflows and processes 'intelligent'.
Within a Collection, you can then Build Rules and publish in the Collection.
Once you establish a Collection, you are able to then add more rules to these collections, or edit and re-publish existing rules.
Rules that you create in the Policy & Decisioning engine are then made available for you to use in targeted journeys, workflows and processes.
How to manage your Rules in the Policy & Decisioning Engine
There is a hierarchical structure to the Rules engine:
When you are building or editing a rule, you need to ensure you are in the correct Collection/Event/Category.
What parts of Simpology Manager can be powered by Rules?

Decisioning Logic to run in the Omni Assessment workflows
Rules to make Assessment Processes and Tasks conditional - to make assessment activities appropriate for the type of application
Rules for Supporting Documents - to make supporting documents requirements match the application type
Rules for Print Forms

to make sections of Print Forms generate/required when needed
