The Simpology Origination Ecosystem delivers to a lender and its network all functionality needed for Mortgage Origination activities, from application through to fulfillment. This article outlines the Ecosystem at a high level, with links to articles specific Solutions within the Ecosystem.

The Simpology Origination Ecosystem is made up of:

Each Solution:

  • can (usually) be accessed via Simpology Manager

  • access is governed by Roles and Permissions in Simpology Manager

  • has a unique URL so that it is directly accessible outside of Simpology Manager

    • and can be independently embedded in other system

Simpology Manager

Simpology Manager is the core Simpology Solution. It houses many capabilities and is the doorway to all other the Simpology capabilities.

Think of Simpology Manager as the core 'world' that represents your lender brand.

Inside Simpology Manager is a complete set of capabilities to support lender mortgage originations -

  • applications management and access to/management of Application interfaces;

  • permissions and user access management;

  • engines - configuration, updates and releases;

  • assessment workflow configuration and access to Assessment interfaces;

  • communications configuration and access to portal interfaces;

  • subscriptions to your logic;

  • and more.

Simpology DIY Journeys

Simpology ecosystem allows for a Lender to build and make available "DIY" Journeys - for 'Direct to User' engagement with the Lender.

The Simpology DIY Journeys are mobile enabled, and have two primary audiences/users - Consumers & Brokers:

  • The Consumer: Lenders are able to build branded consumer-facing origination journeys such as Full Loan Applications, Fast Refinance Applications, Pre-approval Applications, Variations Journeys

  • The Consumer: Brokers are able to build branded consumer-facing journeys such as pre-approval (lead capture); fact-find journeys; compliance journeys and more.

  • The Broker: Lenders are able to build broker-facing journeys such as broker accreditation and onboarding journeys.

Simpology Loanapp

Simpology Loanapp is a configurable Full Loan Application Interface best rendered on a desktop.

The Primary uses for Loanapp are:

  • broker application electronic lodgement

  • first party application creation and submission

  • assessor application finalisation and fulfillment

Loanapp is fully configurable, and is powered by the (configurable) engines housed in Simpology Manager:

  • Products engine

  • Serviceability engine

  • Print Forms engine

  • Supporting documents engine

  • Policy engine

A lender is able to configure multiple Loanapp journeys:

  • alternate-journeys which allows for conditional journey logic to the Master Loanapp journey, based on:

    • configurable application "attributes" (eg non-resident journey which has specific data and logic requirements for non-residents but still based on the regular Loanapp journey)

    • configurable "users" (eg assessor Loanapp configured differently to broker Loanapp)

  • sub-journeys which are stand-alone journeys to support origination activities outside of the Master Loanapp applications (eg serviceability journey, variations journey)

    • sub-journeys can generally promote to the full Loanapp journeys (ie re-use the data)

Simpology Omni

Omni is the Simpology Assessment Solution that can be configured with a Lender's Assessment process and workflows.

A Lender is able to:

  • configure assessment statuses

  • configure assessment processes and tasks

    • conditional logic for triggering specific processes and tasks

  • set DLA and allocation logic

  • configure automated business rules and assessment module workflows

Omni Interface allows users to

  • work through allocated applications and/or assessment tasks/workflows

  • issue conditional assessment

  • issue formal assessment

  • set conditions of approval/settlement

  • issue (and receive) MIRs

  • call third party services

  • generate documents/forms

  • instruct solicitors

  • call out to/submit to core systems

Simpology Platform

Platform is the Simpology solution that allows a Lender to edit, update and re-publish any of the metadata (and branding) configurations of Lender Loanapp Journeys.

A Lender is able to make change to configurations and publish instantly to the specific journey. Among other things, a Lender can:

  • add/remove data fields

  • set conditional logic on data fields

  • set conditional logic for Alternate Journey behaviour

  • add tooltips to journeys

  • edit enumeration lists

  • edit branding

Coupled with the Simpology Manager Journey Builder, where a lender can tie Products, Serviceability, and Policy to a Journey - a Lender has full control to build and maintain perfect application journeys for their originations.

Simpology Consumer

Simpology Consumer is the secure portal that allows a person in the 'outside world' securely receive and reply to communications from someone working in 'your world'.

Some primary uses for this portal are:

  • consumer digital consent workflows

  • brokers/lenders requesting documents from applicants

  • brokers/lenders requesting information from applicants

  • lenders requesting documents/information from brokers

  • delivering approvals, documents, statuses to applicants/brokers

SSI Gateway

The Simpology Shared Services Infrastructure (SSI) is the gateway that connects Simpology ecosystem to external systems and services. SSI can be used to:

  • integrate services to application and assessment workflows to verify, validate and digitise workflows

  • integrate with Lender systems such as Core for querying existing customer data or establishing new customers/accounts;

  • integrate with Lender systems such as LOS for submissions of applications for assessment (where Omni is not used);
