A .tx File is the native file format of the Document Manager

When you download a Document template from Document Manager, you are able to download in Word, PDF, or .tx:

.tx is a very useful way to download a Document Template, as it preserves all your data mapping as well as the design template.

This means you can download a .tx file from one Document and upload into another Document as the start, or basis, of the second Documents' design and mapping.

A good example is where you have built a Conditional Approval letter, and want to now create a Formal Approval letter, which is very similar in design and content.

You can download the Conditional Letter .tx; then upload into a new Formal Approval Letter and make your edits.

Download a .tx file

To download a .tx file for a Document you have created, find the document (Group/Subgroup/Document) you want to download, and click Export As:

Note that you can download a .tx file of a 'released' Document (finalised); or even a Draft document.

If you select TX as the format to download, you will then get a .tx in your downloads which you can rename as you need to:

Upload a .tx file

If you would like to upload a saved .tx file, you need to be in EDIT mode on a DRAFT of a Document, and you need to select "Load from file":

This will bring up your file manager - you can then find your saved .tx and upload to use that saved template (and mapping) in your new document.
