You can add a client to Sion when creating a booking or on the Contacts page. In this article we’ll go over both processes.
Add a Client Within a Booking
When you manually create a booking you need to fill in the Client field. If the name you entered already exists as a client, you can select their name from the dropdown. If the name does not yet exist as a client in your Sion account, you can add them as a client.
To add a new client in a booking, type the client’s full name and then select + Add name as a client in the dropdown.
When you’re done, you’ll see a New indicator above the Client field. The client name will only be saved if you save the booking.
The only information saved for a client will be their name and associated bookings. Once a client has been created in the system, you can edit client details such as food allergies, their birthdays and more.
Add a Client on the Contacts Page
You can add a client to Sion without creating a booking by using the Contacts page. Click Contacts in the top menu.
By default, you’re on the Clients tab. Click Add Contact in the top right.
The New Client window will open. There are several tabs of information that you can enter for a client:
Profile - Enter basic information about your client and how to contact them. Be sure to select the correct Agency and Agent to associate a client with if applicable.
Billing - Enter any billing information that is different from the basic Profile contact data.
Health - Use the checkboxes to indicate any common allergies or dietary preferences. You can add custom notes in the bottom section.
Integrations - If you have integrations configured on your account, you can enter the client’s ID from the third party here.
Tags & Notes - Add tags to help you sort and filter clients later. Start typing and select an existing tag from the dropdown or hit Enter to create a new tag. Notes are helpful for things to keep in mind when talking to a client, for example maybe they have a preferred nickname.
When you’re done click Save Client.
