When opening an annotation, SKAND lets you define exactly how it should appear by setting its default view. This ensures that anyone clicking on the annotation will see it from the intended perspective. You can set the default view either while creating the annotation by adjusting the camera position, or later on by editing the annotation and saving the updated view.
Below are the steps on how to configure the annotation default view.
Setting the Default View when Creating an Annotation
Create an annotation by selecting either the Pen or Rectangle tool under Annotation Tools.
Make sure to click Done after creating the annotation.
Fill in the necessary details.
Saving the current camera position tells SKAND to use it as the annotation's default fly-to view. You can update this view at any time, as explained later in this guide.
Press Create to confirm annotation details and default view.
You can check the saved annotation default view by clicking the Fly to Annotation button.
The annotation now uses this camera position as its default view.
Setting the Default View when Editing an Annotation
Another way to set the default annotation view is by editing an existing annotation. Simply adjust the camera to your preferred position.
Click the ellipsis button (...) next to the annotation to access additional settings.
Click Edit.
Click the ellipsis button (...) on the Annotation pop-out to access additional settings.
Click Override fly-to position to change the annotation default view to the current camera position.
Click Confirm to save the changes.
The new annotation default view is now set.
