Users can now switch between different panorama walkthrough interfaces, building on the simplified UI already in use to better support different review and navigation workflows.
Panorama UI improvements
Faster panorama loading so you can get into a scene quickly.
Simplified controls focused on measurement, View activation, and switching Workspace modes.
Panorama Workspace Modes
Default β Uses the standard panorama walkthrough with the full 3D Scene and main sidebar controls available.
Simple β Simplifies the interface to provide more space for panorama viewing. Allows you to create measurements, apply Views, and switch between 3D or Panorama scenes.
Pro tip: For vertical assets like buildings, creating a custom View per floor makes floor navigation easier.
Linear Asset β Displays a split workspace. The left panel shows the 3D Scene or Panorama, while the right panel shows an enlarged map indicating the real-world location of the panoramas. Designed specifically for linear assets such as roads, bridges, and tunnels.
Note: Switching Workspace modes only affects the panorama experience of the user making the change. No changes are applied to other users.
Pro tip: Creating a View for specific chainages optimizes navigation for linear assets.
Activating Panorama Workspace Modes
In Panorama Walkthrough view, users can switch Workspace modes by clicking the icon next to the Coordinates bar.
Select the Panorama Workspace mode that best fits the current workflow.
The panoramic scene updates to reflect the Workspace mode selected by the user.
Click the Panorama Workspace icon to switch between workspaces.
Select Default view to switch back to the standard workspace.
Applying Views
Linear Asset Navigation
Views can be applied to quickly jump to predefined locations or camera states along the asset. This makes it easier to move between key sections while keeping orientation consistent.
Follow the steps below on how to apply custom Views to linear asset navigation.
Create Views and use chainages as the View names.
Note: See full documentation on how to create and customize Views here.
Switch the Panorama workspace to Basic or Linear Asset.
Click the bookmark icon to initiate the Views list.
Select one of the Views to apply in the current scene.
The View is applied to the current scene, making it easy for the user to move to specific areas or locations with minimal effort.
Switch to another location/chainage by opening the available Views and applying one to the current scene.
Users can choose the Linear Asset workspace to use a split view of the current scene and an enlarged map, making it easier to track location and progress along the asset.
Applying Views in the Linear Asset workspace works the same as in Basic, with improved navigation and context.
Applying Workspace Modes on Share Links
Workspace mode lets you define what tools and panorama views someone sees when they open a share link by default, using the same three modes above but applied for shared viewing.
Use the steps below to apply Workspace modes when creating or editing Share Links.
Go to Share Links and click Create share link.
Complete other fields and select the appropriate layers. Views can also be applied when creating a Share Link.
Workspace mode determines which tools and tabs are available when a share link is opened.
Expand the dropdown and select the workspace that matches your workflow.
Finish by clicking Save and Copy Link.
The Share Link displays the tools and icons defined by the previously selected workspace.
Pro tip: Use this sample Share Link to see a linear asset with Views applied.
