As you inspect and monitor your models, Annotations allow you to mark points of interest, record identified defects, and take measurements directly on your model. Follow these steps to create annotations in the 3D scene:
1. Start by turning on the Draw Tool in the 3D scene.
2. Click on a point in the 3D scene to begin your annotation. You can choose to draw a point, line, or polygon:
Point: Click on a single spot in the scene to mark a point. Then, click the checkmark ✔️ to finish it.
Line: Click on multiple points to create segments. When finished, click the checkmark ✔️ to complete the line.
Polygon: Click on multiple points to outline the shape of your polygon. Click on Close the Shape, then click the checkmark ✔️ to finish.
3. Enter a name for your annotation. Choose an annotation group and template. Fill in the required information from your custom template, such as priority, status, and any additional comments.
4. You can also view the annotation's metadata, such as the total length for a line, total area for a polygon, and the geolocation for each point. Once you're ready, click Create to save your annotation.
