The Office Hours Setting is where you can customize your general office hours that show in the SKED app. The set of office hours that is lowest on the screen or has the most recent start date associated with your office hours takes priority; all other hours on the screen are just there for reference. If you want to set Special Office Hours to restrict scheduling, you can find that option in the Scheduling settings.

Note: The hours on this page do NOT reflect when patients can reschedule appointments. Appointment availability will need to be updated on the Schedule Tab.

Add New Office Hours

If you intend to update your office hours for the season or any reason, you should always use the “Add hours” function to get started. To add new office hours, click +Add Hours in the top right corner of the page. You’ll need to edit the hours to your specifications before saving.

Edit Office Hours

After adding new hours, or clicking the pencil icon on an existing set of office hours, you’ll need to customize them to your specifications. This next following section will guide you through this process. Remember to save your changes with the blue button on the bottom left.

Edit Starting Date

First, Choose the date your new hours take effect in the top left corner. Use the calendar icon to click a starting date, or click each section in the text box and type the starting date.

Edit Scheduled Day and Time

If you are closed on a certain day, simply leave the "closed" checkbox filled, and your office will appear as "Closed" on the SKED app for that day.

Any day you'll be open, uncheck the “closed box and add your opening and closing time frame. Make sure your AMs and PMs are appropriate.

Add Separate Shifts

If you have multiple shifts on a day, click “Add Open Times” and customize the second part of your hours.

To delete hours on a particular day, hover your cursor over the shift you need to cancel. A little box will pop up that you can click to delete the message.

Save your changes with the save button on the bottom left.

Copy Office Hours

Copy Day

If one day's office hours match other days, you can easily copy them by selecting the three-dot button by the day and selecting “Copy hours.” Then, select the three-dot icons by the matching days and select “Paste Hours’ under each.

Copy Week

SKED has a versatile copy function to make creating new hours snappy and fast, especially if the changes to your offices are minor. Select the Copy Icon on a set of hours to copy an entire week of hours.

To paste on a new set of hours, follow these instructions:

  1. Select + Add hours

  2. Set your hour starting date

  3. Select “paste Hours” to insert the copied office hours

  4. Make any remaining changes to your office hours

  5. Hit “save” at the bottom left of the page.

Delete office hours

Click the trash Icon on an office schedule to delete the office hours

Note: There is no confirmation page for deleting a message. Once you hit the trash can, there is no going back.

FAQS

How do I set my office hours?

Go to Settings > Office Hours.

Does this create availability for scheduling in the app?

No. App availability will be created from the schedules in Settings > Provider Schedule.

What does putting in these hours do?

The office hours will show in the SKED App, be used for the Auto-Responder, and be used to easily create schedules in the Provider Schedule.

How do I add office hours?

Click the +Add Hours button in the top right corner, then uncheck the Closed box for each day the office is open and add the hours. If there are multiple shifts, you can click “Add Open Times.”

If multiple days are the same, can I copy and paste them?

Yes! Once you’ve added the hours to one day, click the three-dot icon next to the day of the week and click Copy. Then, use the same icon to paste it to the other days.

How do I edit my office hours?

Click the pencil icon to change the times, then click Save.

Can I add hours that start at a later date?

Yes! After clicking the +Add New button, you can choose the date it starts with. TIP: Before doing this, click the papers icon in the current hours to easily copy the entire week, then after clicking +Add New, use the three-dot icon to paste the week’s hours.

Our office is open on alternating weeks. Can that be added?

Not at this time. We recommend closing it here and opening the alternate days in the Provider Schedule.

I have two locations. Can I set up hours for each one?

Not at this time. Most offices have different SKED accounts for different locations and can customize them that way.

Do these hours show in the app?

Yes, they do.

We're open every other Saturday. Can I make my office hours reflect that?

No, you cannot. We recommend closing it on this page because the app will show whatever is there. But in their provider schedule, they can open up the alternate days that they are available.
