Office Events

Introduction

Got questions? View the FAQ’s section at the bottom of this article!

The Office Events feature lets you promote your upcoming events to your practice members in the SKED app. This is the best way to let your clients know if you have anything exciting or essential happening around your office. Event listings only show up in the office tab in the app and will not affect the times that offices allow app users to schedule appointments, so if you want to make temporary changes to the schedule, special office hours is the setting for you!

When an event is posted in the app, it should look like this to app users:

Navigate to the Office events page by clicking the settings menu in the blue navigation bar and selecting “Office Events” in the “Tools” section.

View Past Events

Select the “Show Past Events” checkbox to view a comprehensive list of every event your office has held. This could be useful for when you want to copy a set of hours.

Add Office Event

To create a new event, select “Add event” at the top right of the Office Events page. This will immediately launch the event editor.

Edit Event Details

There are two ways to activate the event editor. You can select “Add event,” as discussed in the last section, or click the three-dot icon next to any existing event and then select “Edit” to open the event editor.

Set Event Location (Enterprise)

For Enterprise offices only: you’ll need to select the location for this event. Click the dropdown arrow, and select the location you want this event to apply to.

Give your event an internal name that your office will reference later. Remember that your practice members will not see this title, so context is needed in the brief reason section below.

Set Event Description

Your practice members will see this event description when viewing the event in the SKED app. It is an excellent opportunity to share the event's topic.

Set Event Dates

By default, a new event will be set to start the day of creation, so we suggest publicizing your event postings in advance for maximum outreach. Use the Calendar Icons by the start and end date to set your time frame for the event.

Note: The event will only show in the app when it's less than a month from happening.

Set Event Hours

Your event will be set to “All Day” by default. To create a more specific time frame, deselect the “All Day” checkbox and type in your desired time frame.

  • Note: Times like 8 am, 9:15pm, 15:00, and 10pm are all valid ways to enter your time frame, but be sure your times match at least one of these formats.

  • Tip: You can create separate event windows on the same day by selecting the “+” icon on the right side of the window.

  • Tip: Click the Trash can Icon on the left side of any unwanted time frames to delete them.

Copy & Paste Event Hours

Use the three-dot icon by any event date and select “Copy hours” to streamline duplicating/editing events.

Delete Event

Use the three-dot icon for any event date and select “Delete” to remove this event from the history.

FAQs

Do office events show in the SKED App?

Yes! It will show under the Office tab.

Why isn’t my event showing?

The most common reason an event doesn’t show in the app is that it is not within the next 30 days.

How do I delete an event?

Click the three-dot icon and click delete.

What is the difference between ‘Internal Name’ and ‘Brief Description’?

Only the Brief Reason shows in the app, so you can make that description fun!

Can I edit the date or time of an event?

Yes! Click the three-dot icon next to the date to update it there.

Can I link anything for the event I’m hosting?

No, but some offices like to tell patients how to contact them. For example, “Health Workshop - Text us for details!”

No, this is only for your practice members to know the event's time.

Can I add multiple events at one time if they are recurring?
