Why your company information matters

Skyp’s campaigns are powered by what it knows about:

  • Your website and product

  • Your ideal customer profile (ICP)

  • Your brand voice

If any of these change—new positioning, new site, new ICP focus—you’ll want to update your Company settings so the AI stays accurate.

Accessing the Company tab

  1. Log into Skyp.

  2. Click on Company in the navigation.

If you completed onboarding, you’ll already see:

  • Your website URL, and/or

  • Any uploaded materials (PDF, Markdown file, text file created by you or with AI) that Skyp used to learn about your business.

This is the information Skyp currently uses to understand your company and ICP.

Option 1: Re-analyze your website

If your website has changed meaningfully (new messaging, new product focus, updated pages), the fastest option is to re-analyze your website.

In the Company tab you can:

  1. Confirm or update your URL.

  2. Click Analyze website to trigger a fresh pass.

Skyp will:

  • Crawl your current website

  • Rebuild its understanding of your:

    • Customers and ICP

    • Value propositions

    • Brand voice

Use this when your public-facing site is the primary source of truth for your product and messaging.

⚠️ Important: Clicking Analyze website will overwrite the existing company, customer, and brand voice fields with the new analysis.

Option 2: Manually edit your company information

If you’re making more targeted tweaks—like refining your ICP or adjusting tone for a specific campaign—you can edit fields by hand instead of re-analyzing.

In the Company tab you can:

Edit business & ICP details

Under Customers (or related sections), you can:

  • Refine how you describe your ideal customer profile (ICP)

  • Update segments you’re targeting

  • Add or adjust notes about who you sell to and why

This is useful when:

  • You’ve learned more about who your best customers actually are

  • You’re running a slightly different type of campaign (e.g. moving from founders to sales leaders, SMB to mid-market, etc.)

Edit brand voice

Under Brand voice, you can:

  • Update how Skyp should sound in emails

  • Add guidance like:

    • “Casual but professional”

    • “Direct and concise”

    • “No jargon; keep it simple”

These changes give you total control over how Skyp writes, without needing to change your website.

What happens when you click “Analyze website”

When you use Analyze website:

  • Skyp fetches and analyzes your website again.

  • The system overwrites the existing:

    • Company summary

    • Customer/ICP descriptions

    • Brand voice fields (where applicable)

If you’ve invested time manually tuning these fields, you may want to preserve a copy first.

How to preserve your custom settings

Before re-analyzing your website, consider backing up your current configuration:

  • Take a screenshot of the Company, Customers, and Brand voice sections

  • Or copy and paste the text into:

    • A notes doc

    • A Markdown file

    • Any text editor you like

You can later:

  • Paste this content back in if you don’t like the new analysis

  • Turn it into a Markdown file and re-upload it as a source of truth for Skyp

This gives you the freedom to experiment with new analyses without losing your best working version.
