There are two ways to connect Skyp and Syft Data.
Connect in Skyp's Integrations to send contacts from Syft to Skyp's Contacts manager. This makes it easy to send all the data from Syft automatically and send campaigns manually.
Connect Syft Data directly to a Skyp Campaign. This enables you to automatically enrol new identified visitors or people from LinkedIn in a campagin with no human intervention.
Use the first method if you want to stay in the loop, running campaigns by hand as people come in to your marketing honey traps and you want to be more precise and thoughtful about what you send them.
The second method is best for most people. This will trigger an email almost immediately, possibly reaching people right after they interacted with your website or LinkedIn presence. This results in far higher response rates, at the cost of requiring more forethought in how you set up these campaigns and the risk that the occasional email you send is a bit awkward. These drawbacks are far outweighed, in our opinion, by the advantages.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
✅ An active Skyp account
✅ A Syft Data account with access to create Motions
✅ The Syft Data tracking script installed on your website
Step 1: Open the Integrations Page in Skyp
Log in to your Skyp account
Navigate to Integrations from the left sidebar
Find the Syft Data integration card
Click the Connect or Setup button
Step 2: Get Your Webhook URL
A dialog will appear with your unique Skyp webhook URL. This URL is specific to your account and looks like:
https://api.skyp.ai/api/external/syftdata/webhook?key=YOUR_UNIQUE_KEY
**Important**: Keep this URL secure. Anyone with this URL can add contacts to your Skyp account.
Click the **Copy URL** button to copy it to your clipboard.
Step 3: Log in to Syft Data
Open a new browser tab and go to Syft Data
Log in to your Syft Data account
Navigate to **Motions** (usually in the main menu)
Step 4: Create a New Motion
A "Motion" in Syft Data is a rule that triggers an action when a visitor meets certain criteria.
Click **Create New Motion** or the **+** button
Give your Motion a descriptive name, like "Send High-Intent Visitors to Skyp"
Step 5: Configure the Motion Trigger
Set up the conditions that will trigger this Motion. Common triggers include:
Visitor views pricing page
Purchase intent score > 0.7
Visitor from target company size
Multiple page views in one session
Specific persona types (e.g., "Decision Maker")
Choose the trigger(s) that make sense for your use case. You can always adjust these later.
Step 6: Add the Webhook Action
In the "Actions" section of your Motion, select Webhook as the action type
Paste your Skyp webhook URL (from Step 2)
Set the HTTP method to POST
Leave the webhook format as the default (Syft Data will send all enrichment data)
Step 7: Save and Activate
Review your Motion settings
Test your motion by clicking "Test" next to the Webhook URL
Click Save or Create Motion
Toggle the Motion to Active or Enabled
That's it! Your integration is now live. You should see an example contact (named "Sarah") in your contacts
What Happens Next?
From now on, whenever a website visitor triggers your Motion:
✅ Syft Data will send their enriched profile to Skyp
✅ Skyp will create a new contact (or update an existing one)
✅ All the enrichment data will be saved with the contact
✅ You can view the new contact in your Contacts list
Testing Your Integration
To verify the integration is working:
Trigger the Motion conditions yourself (e.g., visit your pricing page)
Wait a few moments for Syft Data to identify and process the visit
Check your Skyp **Contacts** list for the new entry
Open the contact to see all the enriched data from Syft Data
Want to route visitors directly into campaigns?
Instead of just adding contacts to your list, you can send them straight into a specific email campaign. See our Campaign-Specific Integration Guide.
