How to access Workforce on the desktop or mobile app

Accessing Workforce Management

Workforce Management can be accessed via desktop or by downloading the Workforce Management mobile app.


Desktop application

Only users with access to Shift4 Customer Hub can access the desktop Workforce Management application.

From Shift4 Customer Hub, you will see five links underneath Workforce Management.

  • The Employees, Jobs, and Labor Settings links open up new pages within Customer Hub itself.

  • The Scheduler and Timecards links open up the integrated Workforce Management application.

Access via Customer Hub is performed via SSO, so no user credentials are required to be entered.


Mobile application

Workforce Management is available on both iOS and Android. You can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Inviting employees to the app

Employees must be invited before they can access the mobile app. To invite an employee:

  1. Ensure the employee exists in Workforce Management with a valid mobile number.

  2. Click Invite on their employee profile.

  3. They will receive a text message with a link to download the app and activate their account.

Once they've verified their account, it will be automatically connected to your company — they'll be able to view their shifts, communicate with colleagues, and access all features the app has to offer.

App views

The mobile app has two views depending on the user's role.
