Beneficiary Designations

Individual Slay Markets accounts can't add a beneficiary. To provide for a beneficiary, open a joint account and transfer your balance. Contact support@slaymarkets.com. What happens if you pass away.

How to provide for a beneficiary with your Slay Markets account.

Individual Slay Markets accounts do not have an option to add a beneficiary or transfer-on-death designation. To provide for a beneficiary, you would open a joint account with that person and transfer your balance from your individual account into the new joint account. To open a joint account or transfer a balance, contact Slay Markets support at support@slaymarkets.com.

Important: An individual NinjaTrader Clearing account carried through Slay Markets has no option to add a beneficiary to the existing account. The way to provide for a beneficiary is to open a joint account with that person and move your balance into it. For inheritance or account-ownership planning, consult an estate planning attorney.

How do I provide for a beneficiary with my Slay Markets account?

Your individual Slay Markets account does not have a beneficiary screen, so there is nothing to add or update from your Account Dashboard. To provide for a beneficiary, open a joint account with that person and transfer your balance from your individual account into the new joint account:

  1. Email Slay Markets support at support@slaymarkets.com and let us know you want to open a joint account with the person you wish to provide for.

  2. Provide the joint account holder's full legal name and any onboarding details our team requests.

  3. Once the joint account is open, ask support to transfer your balance from your individual account into the new joint account.

Because individual accounts have no beneficiary designation, opening a joint account is the way to provide for another person. For inheritance or account-ownership planning — especially after major life events such as marriage, divorce, or a death in the family — consult a qualified estate planning attorney.

Opening a joint account and transferring your balance

There is no beneficiary screen to edit on an individual account, so providing for someone else means opening a joint account with that person and moving your balance into it. Opening a joint account and transferring a balance are both handled by our support team — there is no self-service option in the Account Dashboard. To get started, contact Slay Markets support at support@slaymarkets.com and we will walk you through the steps.

What happens to a Slay Markets account when the account holder passes away

When Slay Markets receives a certified death certificate and other required legal documentation for an account holder who has passed away, the Slay Markets account is restricted from new trading. Because individual accounts carry no beneficiary designation, the estate's representative or the surviving joint account holder should contact Slay Markets support at support@slaymarkets.com to begin the process. Distribution of the assets follows the account holder's estate.
