Go to the Students tab
Select a student
Scroll to the Goals section
Click AI Goal Builder

📌 What Is the AI Goal Builder?
The AI Goal Builder is a custom GPT (Generative Pretrained Transformer) tool designed specifically for SLP Toolkit users to create evidence-based, personalized, and meaningful IEP goals in a matter of seconds. Developed by the SLP Toolkit team through ChatGPT, it’s your digital assistant for smarter, faster goal writing.

Start Building a Goal
In the chat window, describe your student’s skill area and need.
Example: “Create a goal for a 7-year-old student working on answering WH- questions using an AAC device.”
The AI will ask you a few follow-up questions to individualize the goal:
Diagnosis or communication profile
Focus of the goal (e.g., communication partner, academic task)
Functional setting for the goal (e.g., classroom, community)
Language variety or dialect, if applicable
Review & Customize
You can ask for short-term objectives if needed.
Copy and paste the goal into SLP Toolkit by:
Clicking “Add My Own Goal” in the student profile.
Then use “Add Objective” from the Actions menu to input any objectives the AI provided.

Created a goal you love? Don’t lose it! With the Personal Goal Toolbox, you can save any goal you’ve written so you can quickly reuse or customize it later.
