⚠️ Student Data Privacy

This is a custom GPT that is not integrated with our software and is available as an external resource through http://chatgpt.com.

  • Any questions you may have regarding privacy and security of the AI Assistant would fall under Open AI’s authority here.

  • Before sending any information to the GPT, make sure to redact your students’ sensitive information (free online tool here), and check your district rules concerning AI to ensure compliance with local policies & FERPA guidance.

Quickly summarize your student's PLA results to share with parents and teachers or include in their IEP.

🛠️ Getting Started

  1. In the Students tab > Assessment subtab, click the 'copy' icon above the PLA assessments.

  2. Paste the PLA results into the SLP Toolkit AI Assistant chat window

    • Choose the prompt 👉 "Write an IEP present level summary."

  3. Enter additional info to personalize the summary if needed.

🔁 You can revise, regenerate, or fine-tune the summary as needed using the follow-up questions from the AI Assistant.

🧩 Tips for Best Results

  • Make sure Present Level Assessment data is up to date before uploading to the AI Assistant.

  • Use the AI Assistant’s initial draft as a baseline — customize language to reflect student strengths and needs.

  • If needed, break down summaries by goal area or reporting period for clarity.

🛑 Limitations

  • The Assistant can only analyze what’s already entered and is intended to summarize a student's general strengths and needs.

  • It does not replace professional judgment — always review and revise the summary as needed.

  • The AI Assistant does not store drafts — copy/paste the generated summary if you wish to save multiple versions.
