Areas Assessed/Covered is a new, optional field in SLP Toolkit that appears on student profiles. It allows users to either select from a dropdown list of commonly assessed areas or enter their own descriptions manually.
Who Needs to Use This?
This field is only required for users in districts that have set up customized Medicaid reports with SLP Toolkit that specifically request this information for their Medicaid vendor.
If your district has a custom export that does not require this field, it will not appear in your reports. No action needed!
Important: This update does not impact any districts with existing customized Medicaid reports. If your district already has a custom export set up, those settings will remain unchanged unless your district requests updates.
Where Does It Appear?
You’ll find the Areas Assessed/Covered field in two places on your account:
Student Profile – This is where you can manually enter or select the assessed areas.
Medicaid Data report – Visible for reference, though the data will only export for districts with a custom report configured to include it.
Important: This field does not appear in the Medicaid Data report available for download in individual user accounts. If you’ve been using the downloadable Medicaid Data report for your own purposes, rest assured that this new field won’t impact the reports you’ve grown accustomed to using in the past.
Optional for All Other Users
Even if your district doesn’t require this field, you’re welcome to use it to document areas assessed during therapy. Just keep in mind that this field won’t show up in any reports unless your district has a custom export configured to include it.
