Create Non-Therapy Events from the Agenda

You can now add non-therapy events directly from the Daily Data Agenda page, so you can create single events and notes as needed! This makes it easier to document time spent on activities such as meetings, evaluations, screenings, paperwork, observations, consults, and other scheduled events without needing to switch to the Scheduler view.

You can still add repeating non-therapy events to your schedule, or you can try out the new workflow on the agenda page!

Getting Started

  1. Go to Daily Data.

  2. Open the Actions drop-down menu at the top of the Agenda page.

  3. Under Events, select the type of event you want to add.

The Actions menu is now organized into sections so it is easier to find what you need.

The Actions menu now includes:

  • Events
Add a therapy session or non-therapy event.

  • Attendance
Mark students full-day absent or full-day present.

  • Printing & Archives
Print daily activity, print your schedule, or view archived schedules.

  • Preferences
    Edit your billing template.

Add a non-therapy event

Under the Events section, choose the type of event you want to add.

Available event types include:

  • Therapy Session

  • Consult

  • Meeting

  • Observation

  • Screening

  • Evaluation

  • Paperwork

  • Reschedule Events

After you select an event type, the event window will open with that event title already filled in. For example, if you select Meeting, the event will be labeled as a meeting instead of a therapy session.

View the event on your Agenda

Once the event is saved, the event title appears next to the scheduled time on your Agenda.

  • Each event type is marked with a color-coded dot on the Agenda page.

  • This makes it easy to quickly see what type of event is on your schedule, such as a meeting, consult, screening, or evaluation.

What is different for non-therapy events?

Non-therapy events have a simpler layout because they do not require goals or students.

When you open a non-therapy event, you will see:

  • The event title at the top of the page

  • No Goals section

  • No required “Add Students” box

  • A larger notes area for documentation

Students are optional for non-therapy events. You can add students from the top-left corner when the event applies to one or more specific students, but you are not required to add a student to save the event.

Suggested screenshot: Add a screenshot here showing an opened non-therapy event, with the event title at the top and the larger notes area.

Adding notes to a non-therapy event

  • Use the General Notes section to document details about the event.

  • If no students are added, you will only see the General Notes area.

  • If you add students, Student Notes will also appear. This allows you to document student-specific information when needed.

Printing non-therapy event notes

When a student is added to a non-therapy event, the notes will appear in:

  • Data Sorted by Date

  • Data Sorted by Sessions

Non-therapy event notes do not appear on the Medicaid Data report. This helps keep Medicaid billing documentation focused on billable therapy session data only.
