Accessibility of SLP Toolkit

Current Accessibility of SLP Toolkit

In August 2025, SLP Toolkit completed an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) evaluating the software with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Levels A and AA.

The evaluation included:

  • Automated testing with axe DevTools and WAVE

  • Manual inspection of forms, buttons, labels, and ARIA usage

  • Keyboard navigation and focus testing

  • Review of semantic structure and alternative text

Looking Ahead

Because SLP Toolkit is an established application built on older technology, addressing every accessibility barrier within the existing platform presents significant technical challenges.

Our broader product roadmap includes Kit for Teams, which is built using WCAG 2.2 Level AA best practices. Kit for Teams is designed to support the entire IEP team through shared documentation, service tracking, and district-wide visibility.

Districts interested in learning more can visit Kit for Teams.

The availability of Kit for Teams does not mean that every feature in SLP Toolkit is currently available in the newer platform. Schools and districts should evaluate their workflows, accessibility requirements, and feature needs when determining which product is appropriate for their teams.
