Managing student goals doesn’t have to take forever. With SLP Toolkit, you can add, track, and manage all of your student goals in one easy-to-use place. Check out this tooltip video or scroll down for a step-by-step tutorial:
Getting Started
Go to the Students tab and select the student you want to work with.
Scroll down to the Goals section. Here, you’ll see multiple ways to add goals so you can pick the method that works best for you.
1. Add Your Own Goals
If you already have goals ready to go:
Click “Add My Own Goal.”
Copy and paste goals straight from your student's IEP or type them in manually.
If you want to add objectives, click the Actions button and select Add Objective.
2. Use the Goal Library
To access the Goal Library packed with hundreds of ready-to-use goal ideas:
Click “Help Me Write a Goal.”
Select the speech/communication area you'd like to address.
Choose the skill you want to target from the dropdown menu.
Select the level of support, scoring, and measurement options.
Click Use to add the goal to the text box below.
Make tweaks if needed, then click Create to add it to your student’s dashboard.
💡 Tip: If you use a goal frequently, save it to your Goal Bank by following these steps!
3. Use the AI Goal Builder
Want personalized, evidence-based goals in seconds?
Click the AI Goal Builder to open SLP Toolkit’s custom GPT.
Enter a few quick details about your student, such as age or grade, communication profile, area of need, and functional setting.
The AI Goal Builder will generate a ready-to-use goal you can copy and paste directly into the Goals section.
Quick Tips
If you opened a student’s session before adding new goals, click the refresh button next to the student’s name to see the updates. Click here to learn more.
To add a new goal during a session, click the Add Goal button in the event.
When a student masters a goal, mark it as met by following these steps.
