If you've checked on a Hotspot Explorer and find that your hotspot is sending out beacons regularly but not earning anything, this article is for you.

The regular beacons indicate your hotspot is operating as expected.

The reason why you're not seeing any rewards is because:

A) no other hotspots are receiving your beacon transmissions, and

B) your hotspot is not receiving any transmissions from other hotspots.

Use the hotspot explorer to check if there are hotspots nearby.

If there are hotspots in the nearby area (same hex or adjacent), your lack of earnings can be due to suboptimal placement of your hotspot - if your hotspot can't transmit + receive well, your rewards will be lower.

If there are no hotspots in your area that are within range, your hotspot cannot earn Proof-of-Coverage rewards.
