SmartRent Release Notes - November 07, 2019 (1.50.0)

NEW FEATURES

Brivo Guests: We’ve enhanced our Brivo integration to include support for resident-invited guests. When residents of Brivo-enabled properties create a guest access code (temporary, permanent or recurring), a Brivo user record, pin and group assignment will automatically be created based on the mapping found in the property’s Brivo settings. Resident guests will receive a single 6-digit code via text message or email which will grant them access to community doors and the unit door. Resident guests will automatically be removed when access is removed via the mobile app or the access expires. When creating a guest in Brivo, it will show the guest’s first and last name. Guest codes that include building access will receive a message indicating access to both the property and unit.

NOTE: This feature must be enabled by an organization admin on the property settings page.

System Health Report: We’ve updated the system health report to include work order completion descriptions and resolution categories in order to provide more data to client teams monitoring their properties.

Display Who Completed Work Order: In order to provide more transparency to work orders, we’ve added the user responsible for the completion of the work order on the work order detail page. If a work order was completed via sync, it will display Completed By: Sync.”

Reset Resident Code: In order to provide site teams with the ability to secure residents without the mobile app an access code, we’ve enabled a new permission/function to allow users to reset a resident code with a random code. This is displayed on the Resident Card View and the button is labeled “Reset Resident Code.” If confirmed on the modal, the staff/installer will see a success or failure message indicating the code’s status. Users must have “Reset Resident Code” permissions.

Add Vacant Codes to Units with Status “Down” or “Model”: In order to provide site teams the ability to manage all vacant units, we now automatically add vacant unit staff codes to “down” or “model” status units. This will grant site teams easier access when showing or performing maintenance on related units.

IMPROVEMENTS

  • We’ve made improvements to adding access codes for work orders to ensure 1) a working code, 2) a unique code tied to the work order, and 3) adding the code quickly.

  • Resident leak email alerts will now be sent by priority to (in this order): head of household, co-head of the household than any other lease signer.

  • We now automatically reset individual device settings to the property default when all residents of a lease are moved out. This process now ensures that new residents will have a consistent experience in line with property expectations.

  • Newly created manager guest access codes now sync immediately after new code is created and also when resident guest access codes are deleted.

FIXED

  • Fixed a bug where emergency access code reset on resident move out was failing depending on certain conditions.

  • Move-In/Move-Out workflow now correctly updates email addresses when a user inputs a change or new email for the resident.

  • Vendor access codes that were removed are no longer included on the vendor access codes list.

  • The Resident page no longer displays the “Resend Invite” link for users that have already accepted their invites.

  • If there are no units currently on a properties page, the page will no longer render an error.
