Release Notes (1.49.0) 10/24/2019

SmartRent Release Notes - October 24, 2019 (1.49.0)

NEW FEATURES

Property Lock Settings: We’ve added new lock settings to enhance the ability to manage and configure locks across properties. Users can now set lock sounds to silent, low and high while also having the ability to use our new lock features: Privacy Lock and Auto-Lock.

Privacy Lock, when enabled, allows the resident to disable the keypad from inside the unit, increasing their personal security much like a privacy deadbolt. The Auto-Lock feature will request to automatically lock the door based on the timeout set in Community Manager - Web. These lock settings will automatically apply to all new lock installs or locks which are re-configured.

Ask your CSM or Account Executive for more information on how to configure these new lock settings.

Reset Device Settings: Based on the new lock setting features above, we created a new move-out task to automatically reset the device settings back to the property defaults when a unit becomes vacant.

Vacant Thermostats - Business Hours and After Hours: We’ve expanded control over vacant thermostats so you can customize them during normal business hours and after hours. With this new feature, you’ll be able to more effectively manage vacant units for tours and make-ready vendors while saving money by limiting the temperature range throughout the day.

Lockout Troubleshooting Wizard: The lockout page has been redesigned to provide a step-by-step troubleshooting process for the Resident so that we can more effectively help resolve their lockout situations. You can find this new wizard here: https://control.smartrent.com/lockout

Auto-Complete Work Orders: We’ve added a maintenance settings page in the property settings to manage the automatic closing of SmartRent generated work orders. You can designate if you want to automatically close work orders after a certain amount of days being open and by the type of work order.

IMPROVEMENTS

We’ve refactored the resident page based on user feedback to be more performant and have a better user experience.

In order to increase security for our residents and guests, residents will only be able to view guest access codes and edit or delete guest profiles for the guests that they directly create. Residents will still be able to view guest information for guests created by other residents in the unit, just not the guests’ access code.

We’ve made significant improvements to our speed and effectiveness in adding and removing access codes! In testing, we’ve shown up to a 60x performance increase.

Properties with Brivo and 2N integration will now be able to automatically sync the resident directory with 2N callboxes. When a resident is moved in, their user record is automatically synced to the 2N call box. When they move out, their access and user record is automatically removed. This feature allows connected communities to save time and increase call directory accuracy.

We are now showing the current hub status for a unit when creating a tour so you can easily see which units are online or offline, giving you the ability to select healthy units to manage the features during tours.

In order to clean up and maintain a growing list of Brivo users, we added a feature to automatically remove delivery users from Brivo when they are deleted by Residents or expire. All-access history will remain stored in the Brivo portal.

In order to cut down on stuck move-outs for our Automated Move-In and Move-Out system, we are now supporting partial move out completions, meaning that the only move out task that will generate an exception is failing to remove the resident access codes on move out.

FIXED

Fixed a bug where users could not enter more than six (6) digits for the recovery code on the Two Factor Authorization page.

Fixed a bug that would cause the resident detail page to crash when editing resident information that contained no phone number.

Fixed an issue where vault codes were not refilling for units with more than one (1) lock or with deleted locks.
