What Triggers a Rebalance in SMArtX?

Key Conditions That Flag Accounts for Rebalance

Overview

Accounts are automatically flagged for rebalancing when they fall out of alignment with their assigned target or meet specific system conditions.


Primary Rebalance Triggers

An account will enter the rebalance queue when:

  • A target portfolio is updated

  • The account drifts outside tolerance bands

  • The rebalancer is toggled OFF → ON

  • The daily system evaluation detects an issue


Rebalancer Tiles (Queues)

Where to View:
Rebalancer → Accounts to Rebalance


First Rebalance

  • No prior rebalance has occurred

  • Often triggered after assigning a new target


High Cash

  • Cash is above target

  • Cash thresholds are exceeded


Low Cash

  • Cash is below target

  • Cash thresholds are exceeded


Position Drift

  • Cash is within range

  • One or more positions exceed tolerance limits


Additional Rebalance Tile Indicators

  • Source → Why the account was flagged (drift, target update, etc.)

  • Needed Since → When the issue first appeared

  • Last Rebalanced → Most recent rebalance date
