Introduction
Purpose: This article explains how to set up and use the Complete Action Challenge to automatically track and reward ambassador activities on your website or app.
Context: The Complete Action Challenge leverages SocialLadder’s event tracking system to monitor ambassador engagement without requiring manual verification, such as screenshots or recordings. Instead, actions are automatically logged and rewarded.
How the Challenge Works
The Complete Action Challenge automates progress tracking based on predefined ambassador actions. Consider a scenario where:
Ambassadors comment on your website’s product pages.
They earn rewards for their first review.
They get a prize if they engage with a product (e.g., liking, commenting, or sharing) at least five times per week.
This is made possible through the Event API, which tracks and records ambassador activities, allowing seamless communication between your app or website and SocialLadder.
Steps to Implement a Complete Action Challenge
1. Define Actions & Track Events
Before setting up the challenge, determine the specific user actions you want to monitor. These actions must be forwarded to SocialLadder via the Event API.
Event Name | Event Group |
like-post | engagement |
commented-post | engagement |
If you are unfamiliar with the Event API, refer to this article for more details.

Best Practices & Tips
Ensure API Integration: Work with your development team to properly forward event tracking data to the SocialLadder Event API.
Define Clear Objectives: Determine whether you want to track a specific action or a group of related actions to optimize engagement strategies.
Use Realistic Time Frames: Set challenge durations that align with ambassador activity trends (e.g., weekly for short-term engagement, monthly for long-term participation).
Segment Your Ambassadors: Create different challenge tiers for new vs. experienced ambassadors to encourage continued engagement.
