This guide is to assist restaurant owners or marketing managers in creating private or hidden pages on their restaurant websites using Sociavore, when a quick, internal page is needed.
Step 1: Log into Sociavore
Visit scvr.co.
Log in with your credentials.
Navigate to your restaurant concept ( if you have more than one restaurant website)
Step 2: Navigate to Website Management
Click on “Website”.
This will take you to the main navigation showing all the different pages on your selected website.
Step 3: Add a New Page
Click “Add a Page” button.
Choose from existing templates or select “Custom” for a new page.
Name your new page (e.g., “Super Secret Webpage”).
Step 4: Set the Page to Private
By default, the new page will be public.
Click to set it to private so it doesn’t appear live on the site to the general public
Step 5: Customize Your Page
Customize the content by adding sections like maps, text paragraphs, etc.
Arrange the order of sections by dragging them up or down.
Hit “Save” to reflect the changes.
Step 6: Preview Your Page
View the desktop and mobile previews to ensure that everything appears as you’d like.
Remember, changes made in the preview won’t affect the actual page.
Step 7: Edit URL Path (Optional)
If you wish to change the URL of your page, click on “URL Path”.
Modify the URL and hit save.
Remember, changing the URL will make the page inaccessible by the old link.
Step 8: Copy the Direct Link
Copy the direct link to your clipboard.
This link can then be shared with individuals who need access to the private page.
Step 9: Test the Page
Paste the copied link in a browser to test if it's accessible.
Ensure all the content and changes appear correctly.
Important Tips:
Be mindful that changing the Header and Footer will affect the entire site including hidden pages.
Customize images, text, and other sections according to your needs, and always save the changes.
Ensure your chosen name for the page is one word, to keep the URL succinct and error-free.
Remember, creating a private page is useful for internal purposes or exclusive content that should not be public. Please review each step carefully and ensure that every detail, especially the privacy setting, is correct before sharing the link.
If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out for help or schedule a meetup for more in-depth support. Best wishes with creating your private pages on your restaurant website!
