A Step-by-Step Guide on how to build a Private Dining Page on Sociavore

Updated over a week ago

  1. Login to Sociavore:

    • Start by logging into your Sociavore account at scvr.co

  2. Navigate to Website and Pages Tab:

    • Once logged in, navigate to the left-hand side and click on the "Website" tab. This will show you all the current pages on your website.

  3. Create a New Page:

    • Click the "Add Page" button.

    • You'll be presented with various templates. Since there isn't a specific template for private events pages, choose to create a custom page.

    • Name the page "Private Dining".

  4. Customize the New Page:

    • After naming the page, you'll see the new "Private Dining" page at the bottom of your screen.

    • Click on the "customize page design on website" button to start editing the page.

  5. Add a Custom Form Section:

    • In the editor, you'll notice the page is blank.

    • Click "Add Section" and scroll through the options until you find the "Custom Form" section.

    • Select it and click "Add".

  6. Customize the Form:

    • You'll be prompted to choose which form you want to display. Sociavore has a pre-build 'Private Event' form already set up, select that one.

    • Add a title for the form, such as "Book Your Private Dining Experience".

    • You can also add a description below the title. If you have a pre-prepared description, you can paste it in.

  7. Save and Preview:

    • After customizing the form to your liking, click "Save".

    • Go to your live website and refresh the page.

    • You should now see a new tab at the top labeled "Private Dining". Clicking on this page will display the form you just created.

  8. Customize Form Design (Optional):

    • If you wish to change the color of the form:

      • Navigate to "Design" and then "Body Settings".

      • Scroll down to find the "Input Form" option.

      • Click on it and choose your desired color.

    • Remember to hit "Save" after making changes.

  9. Final Check:

    • Refresh your live website one more time to see the changes you've made. The form should now reflect the color and design choices you've selected.

  10. Completion:

    • Your private dining page is now set up and ready for customers to use!

Note: Always ensure that any changes made are saved before exiting the editor to prevent loss of data.
