Posts

The Posts screen is where you will spend most of your time within SocioConnect.

From here you can view your calendar of published or up-coming posts, create new or make changes to existing posts, work with batch posts to multiple locations at once, or manage any content from other team members sent to you for approval.

Weekly/Monthly View

By default, the Posts screen will display a weekly overview of all posts, either Scheduled or already Published, to all of the channels you have connected to SocioConnect.

Along the top of the screen you have the ability to switch between the standard weekly view and a monthly overview, showing at a glance how many posts are scheduled, for what days, and to which networks.

Filtering The Posts Screen

Filters for Groups, Locations, Channels, and Post Statuses allow you to refine content displayed on the Posts screen to exactly what you're looking for; just click the arrow near your desired filter for it to drop down and present available options.

Post Statuses

Each piece of content that appears on the Posts screen will show a Status - statuses indicate the type of post, whether it's scheduled, published, or might have a problem that needs to be addressed.

Scheduled posts will be published to social media at the time and date displayed on the post. Until that time they can still be moved, edited, or deleted.

Published posts are live, they've been published to social media and can be viewed there by your audience.

Suggested posts will appear to local users as optional content, presenting them with the choice of scheduling directly to their pages or using this content as a jumping off point to personalise and make their own posts.

Link to Advanced Posting - Suggested

Occasionally something can go wrong with a post, in these cases the Error status will display; errors will always come with an explanation of what caused them, to see this message highlight the post with your cursor and click View.

Copy/Edit/Delete

Hover over any post as it appears on the Posts screen calendar and you'll see a three dots ... icon - here you'll find the options to Edit, Copy, or Delete the highlighted post.

Editing a post will allow you to change any of the details within, such as post text, attached media, scheduled time/date, etc

โœ๏ธ Posts can only be edited before they publish to social networks.

Copying a post will leave the original, whether scheduled or already published, intact, and allow you to repeat the post at a different time/date - you will also be able to make changes before the newly copied post is scheduled.

Deleting a post is as simple as it sounds, and will remove the post from your calendar and, with the exception of Instagram, will even remove a published post from its social network.

โ™ป๏ธ Any Scheduled post can be deleted - but once an Instagram post is Published, it can only be deleted by logging in directly to the Instagram accounts, so make sure to get your spelling right ๐Ÿ˜„

Approvals & My Posts

If you're using the Approval/Reviewer feature, the tabs for Approvals and My Posts are where you'll manage content sent to you for review, or that you've sent to other team members for their input.

Batch Posts

Batch posts are indicated by their blue outline on the Posts screen - a Batch post is simply a post that's been Scheduled or Published to more than one channel at a time.

Just as you created a batch post for multiple channels at once, it can be edited or deleted for all at once too - this is done exactly as you would for a single post; by highlighting the batch with your cursor, then clicking the three dots to reveal the Edit/Copy/Delete options.

Alternatively, you can make changes to or delete individual posts within the batch, without affecting all the locations assigned to it. To do this you first highlight the Batch on the posts screen, and now press View to see all the locations for which the post has been scheduled, and where you can make individual changes if needed.
