How to Duplicate Template Plans

Duplicating a template is the fastest way to reuse an existing structure while making small adjustments. It is ideal when you want to keep the same tasks, layout, and flow but change things like modes, durations, or placements.

How to Duplicate a Master Template

Go to the Inactive tab where all master templates are stored. Find the template you want to duplicate, click the three dots next to it, and select Duplicate. Give the duplicate a clear name to distinguish it from the original. All tasks, settings, and modes are copied automatically. You can edit the duplicate freely without affecting the original.

How To Load A Template

Click Create Plan and name your plan. Save it as New Plan, then choose your template from the list of saved templates. Customise the plan as needed and assign it when ready.

Good to know

When you load a master template, Soma does not assign that template directly to an athlete. Instead it creates a new editable copy of the most up-to-date version. This means you can edit the new plan freely without changing the original, and athletes can never be assigned directly to a master template, which prevents progress from being overwritten.

To update the master template itself, go to My Plans, open the Inactive tab, find the template, and edit it there. The next time you load it, Soma will include your latest updates automatically.
