You can cancel a subscription at any time - for example, if a customer no longer wants their order or has asked to switch products. Cancelling ends all future recurring orders for that subscription. It doesn't affect any orders that have already been generated and are in progress in SparrowHub.
Cancellation is permanent and can't be undone.
Cancelling a subscription
Step 1
Go into the Subscriptions tab to view all of your store's subscriptions
Step 2
Locate the subscription you'd like to cancel and click Cancel
Step 3
Confirm the correct subscription has been selected and press Cancel subscription
Step 4
The subscription's status will update to Cancelled, so you can still view its history at any time
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the customer be charged for any more orders after I cancel?
No. Cancelling stops all future recurring orders and payments. Any orders that have already been generated and are in progress will continue as normal or need to be manually overridden/refunded.
Can I reinstate a cancelled subscription?
No - cancellation is permanent. If the customer wants to restart their subscription, you'll need to set up a new one by following the steps in How do I set up a subscription for a customer?
Where can I see all my cancelled subscriptions?
Cancelled subscriptions remain visible in the Subscriptions grid under the "Cancelled" status, so you can always review past subscription history.
Does the customer get notified when their subscription is cancelled?
The customer will be informed that their subscription has ended and no further orders will be generated.
