Set Up a Team and Purchase a Plan

Create a team, select a plan, generate a quote, and assign seats, all in one streamlined flow.

Speakable’s quote and checkout tool lets you quickly set up your team, choose a plan, and assign seats—no back-and-forth required. Whether you’re managing a department or an entire district, this guide walks you through each step of the process.


Step 1: Create a Team

  1. Click the Teams icon in the sidebar.

  2. Select Create Team.

  3. Enter a name for your team. This can be your school, department, or another group you'd like to manage together.

  4. Click Continue to move to the next step.


Step 2: Invite Team Members (Optional)

You’ll be prompted to invite teachers by entering their email addresses. You can add members now or skip this step and invite them later from your Team Members page.


Step 3: Choose a Plan

You’ll see three available plan types:

  • Free Team – A limited plan ideal for small groups.

  • Team Plan – Paid per teacher seat with three credit-based options.

  • Organization Plan – For larger groups, paid per student.

Click Select Seats on the plan you'd like to use.


Step 4: Select Your Seats

For the Team Plan, you’ll choose how many of each teacher seat type you need:

  • Core Seat – 1,000 AI credits per month

  • Advanced Seat – 2,500 AI credits per month

  • Unlimited Seat – No credit limits

For the Organization Plan, you’ll choose how many of teacher seats and student licenses you need.

As you select seats, a real-time cost summary will appear on the right side of the screen. When finished, click Create Quote or Checkout.


Step 5: Review and Download Your Quote

If you selected "Create Quote," you'll receive a downloadable PDF. You can:

  • Download the quote immediately

  • Continue to your Team Admin > Billing > Quotes tab to accept the quote later

Click Continue to proceed to your Admin Panel, Billing Tab.


Step 6: Complete Your Purchase

To begin the checkout process, go to your Team Admin > Billing > Quotes tab and click Accept on your active quote.

After accepting the quote, you’ll be prompted to select a payment method:

  • Credit Card – Pay instantly and securely online.

  • Purchase Order – Upload a PDF of your PO to begin service immediately. We’ll verify the PO in real time and activate your subscription as soon as it’s approved.

Once your payment or PO is submitted and approved, your subscription will activate automatically.


Step 7: Assign Seats

After your purchase is complete, go to the Seats tab in your Team Admin panel. From here, you can assign each purchased seat to a teacher on your team.

Only assigned teachers will have access to the features and AI credit amounts tied to the seat type.


Step 8: Start Using Speakable

Once your purchase is complete and seats are assigned, your plan is live and teachers can start using Speakable right away.

Teachers can begin:

  • Creating and assigning activities

  • Receiving student submissions

  • Accessing progress tracking, AI feedback, and shared team resources

You’ll also be assigned an onboarding specialist from the Speakable team. They’ll reach out to offer support and schedule a live training session if desired.

You can continue managing your team, members, usage, and billing from the Admin tab.
