Managing Your Account & Settings βš™οΈπŸ·

Change your details, update your payout info, manage notifications and control your subscription β€” everything in one place.

Written by 🐽 Support Piggy 🐽

Everything that isn't creating or earning lives in Settings. Here's what's in there and what each bit does. βš™οΈ

Your profile 🐷

Display name, bio, profile photo, banner β€” this is your shopfront. Supporters land here before they buy anything, so it's worth ten minutes rather than two.

Changes go live immediately.

Your profile link is how supporters find you β€” share it everywhere. Bio, story, pinned post, DMs.

Login and security πŸ”

Email address β€” changing it sends a confirmation to the new address. Click the link or the change doesn't stick.

Password β€” change it any time. Use something you don't use elsewhere, especially not the same password as your social accounts.

If you've lost access to your email or you're locked out, don't create a second account. Contact support instead β€” see Getting Help & Contacting Support πŸ’¬πŸ·.

⚠️ One person, one creator account. Duplicate accounts cause verification and payout problems that are genuinely painful to unpick.

Payout details 🏦

Here's the thing that surprises people: your bank details aren't stored on Spenny Piggy.

Payouts run through Stripe Connect, and your bank information lives with Stripe. To change where your money lands, you update it in your Stripe account β€” not here.

⚠️ If your payouts have stopped, it's almost always Stripe needing something from you β€” updated ID, a document that expired, an address confirmation. Check your Stripe dashboard first. That solves it 90% of the time.

Verification status πŸ†”

Your dashboard shows where your verification stands. Until it's complete you can't take payments.

If something's outstanding, it'll say what. Details: Verifying Your Identity (KYC) πŸ†”πŸ·.

Your subscription πŸ’·

Β£8.99 + VAT per month, after a 3-day free trial. Flat rate, doesn't scale with earnings.

From Settings you can see your renewal date, update your payment card, and cancel.

If you cancel: access continues to the end of the period you've paid for. Your content and earnings history aren't deleted β€” you just lose access to the creator tools until you resubscribe.

Notifications πŸ””

Choose what you're told about and how:

πŸ’° Sales and purchases
πŸ’– New supporters and cancellations
πŸ“… Posting-rule reminders β€” leave these on, they're what stop your recurring features pausing
πŸ›‘οΈ Account, security and verification alerts

⚠️ Security and verification alerts can't be switched off. If Stripe needs something or your account's at risk, you're getting told.

Content and listings πŸ“¦

Everything you've listed is managed from your dashboard, not Settings β€” edit prices, unpublish, or take things down.

Unpublishing doesn't remove access for people who already bought. They keep what they paid for, permanently. That's not a bug, it's the deal. βœ…

The posting rule πŸ“…

3 approved pieces of content every 28 days keeps your recurring features running.

Your dashboard shows where you are in the current window. If you're close to the edge, you'll get a nudge β€” assuming you left those notifications on. πŸ‘€

Closing your account πŸšͺ

Contact support and we'll walk you through it.

Before you do:

πŸ“Š Export your earnings history. You'll want it for tax, and possibly for a mortgage application in two years. Take it now.
πŸ” Cancel active recurring supporters so nobody's billed for content that isn't coming.
🏦 Check your Stripe balance has fully paid out.

Common questions πŸ€”

"Can I change my display name?"
Yes, any time. Your profile link may not update automatically β€” check it after.

"Can I have two accounts?"
No. One person, one creator account.

"I've cancelled my subscription β€” do I lose my content?"
No. It's still there, and so is your earnings history. You just can't use the creator tools until you resubscribe.

"How do I change my bank account?"
In Stripe, not here. 🏦
