Scams & Staying Safe 🕵️🐷

Creator platforms attract scammers. Here's every one we see, and how to shut it down. 🕵️

The single rule that stops nearly all of them: everything happens on Spenny Piggy. Payments, delivery, conversations. If someone wants to move it elsewhere, that's the scam. 🚫

They want the content off-platform. Then they chargeback the payment, and you've got no delivery record to defend yourself with.

Never deliver off-platform. Not once, not as a favour, not for a "big spender." The record is your entire defence. 🛡️

"I've accidentally sent you too much — can you send the difference back?"

The original payment was made with a stolen card. It gets reversed. The refund you sent was real money, and it's gone.

Never refund outside the platform. Ever. If a payment is genuinely wrong, refund it through Spenny Piggy so both sides are recorded. ✅

"This is Spenny Piggy support — we need your password to verify your account."

We will never ask for your password. Not by email, not by DM, not in chat. Nobody legitimate ever will. 🔐

Real support only ever happens through the chat bubble on the site.

Someone offers to run your account, grow your audience, or handle your sales — for your login.

Give someone your login and they own your income. Payout details, content, everything. We've seen how this ends. Never share credentials, with anyone, for any reason. 🚫

"Download this file so we can collaborate" or "log in through this link to join the campaign."

Phishing. The link is a fake login page. Only ever log in from the address bar, typed yourself.

Someone copies a creator's photos and messages their followers asking for payment somewhere else — bank transfer, a gift card, another app.

Real creators here never ask for payment off-platform. They can't; it's against the rules. If a DM asks you to pay anywhere but Spenny Piggy, it isn't them. 🚨

Copycat sites with a slightly wrong address, designed to take your card details.

Check the address bar. Always. Bookmark the real one.

We'll never email asking for your password or full card number.

✅ Every creator is identity-verified — social account plus passport — before they can take a penny
✅ Every supporter card is verified with a manual name and address check
✅ Every payment is screened before it reaches the card networks
✅ Everything is recorded — receipts, timestamps, delivery logs
✅ Nothing is delivered off-platform, which is why the records always exist

That's what the compliance fee funds, and it's why this platform is a harder target than most. 🐷

Whoever you are, be suspicious of anyone who:

🚩 Wants to move the conversation or payment off-platform
🚩 Asks for your password or login
🚩 Creates urgency — "right now", "before it expires", "don't tell anyone"
🚩 Offers something far too good
🚩 Asks you to send money back
🚩 Sends a link instead of asking you to navigate there yourself
🚩 Wants payment by gift card, crypto to a personal wallet, or bank transfer

Any one of these on its own is enough. You don't need the full set. ⚠️

1. Change your password immediately 🔐
​2. Message us through the chat — the sooner the better
​3. Contact your bank if card details were shared
​4. Report to Action Fraud if you're in the UK
​5. Don't engage further with whoever it was

You won't be judged. These people are extremely good at this, and it happens to sensible, careful people constantly. What matters is telling us quickly. 💬

"Someone's pretending to be a creator I follow."
Report it. Check the creator's real Spenny Piggy profile — every creator here is verified. ✅

"Is it safe to give my card details?"
Yes. They're handled by our payment processor, encrypted, never stored by us — and never visible to the creator.

"A creator asked me to pay by bank transfer."
That breaks the rules whether it's really them or not. Report it and don't pay. 🚨

"I've had a weird message from 'support'."
Forward it to us through the chat. Real support only happens on-site.
