How to Edit Your Handle, Channel Name, or Description

How to update your handle, channel name, and channel description on Splash Sports, and what to know about contest entry names.

Your handle is your username on Splash — it's what other players see on leaderboards and in contests. Here's how to update it along with your channel name and description.

How to Edit Your Handle, Channel Name, or Description

  1. Click your avatar or initials in the top corner to open your account menu

  2. Select My Channel

  3. Click Edit below your name

  4. Update any of the following:

  • Channel Name — your public commissioner name

  • Handle/Username — must be unique across Splash; if it's taken, try a variation

  • Channel Description — a short bio visible on your commissioner page

  1. Click Save Changes

  2. Handles cannot include capital letters, as they are not capitalized in Splash.

  3. Support cannot change your username or handle for you. All updates must be made through your profile settings.

Changes take effect immediately across Splash, including on any contests and leaderboards you're part of.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues while updating your username or display name, ensure that:

  • You are logged into the correct account.

  • The username you are trying to use meets the platform's requirements (e.g., uniqueness, no capital letters).

  • You have clicked 'Save Changes' after making your updates. For further assistance, refer to the Splash Help Center or contact support for guidance.

What About Contest Entry Names?

Updating your profile handle does not automatically update your contest entry names. Entry names are set when you join a contest and stay fixed. To update an entry name, edit it manually within the contest before the pick deadline — or contact support@splashsports.com and we can assist.

Handle Already Taken?

Handles must be unique on Splash. If your preferred handle is taken, try adding numbers, underscores, or a variation. You'll see an error if the handle is unavailable before saving.
